Gold isn't really an "investment" per se, it's more of a speculative thing.

Long term gold is really really bad, in the short term you can make a big profit or loss from the swings though.

i have gold and silver both in coins also.

i even bought 2 sets of the platinum coins from the usmint.

1000's of onces in silver coins. some silver bars. a few hundred onces of silver in stock paper. i have maybe 30 onces of gold.

i have stacks of paper money silver certificates and such. i like the gold and silver better.

i see gold going as high as $3000 an ounce. in a few years.

I have a gold bracelet, silver earrings and a platinum wedding ring...that's all I have in precious metals. I did however invest in silver a few years back, but I sold out earlier this year.
