the 1st one of any sequal is better, the reason the 2nd one got so many people going to see it is because of the first one. if they have a 3rd, i predict less people will be going to it

Hrm, that's still on my list of movies to see. Wonder when it hits dvd and netflix will send it to me?
It's worthy to be watched on the movie theatre

the 2nd one was way better. More action and better characters. The ending was good too. Ur justmad cuz u have to wait 1 year to see the 3rd
not true. almost everyone i know liked the first one way better. to tell the truth, the second one was downright boring at times, especially that first hour.
The first one kicked the second's ass majorly. The portrayal of Sparrow seemed toned down, a lot of useless references to the first one's jokes, and overall just stagnated the growth of the series. The Kraken fight was phenomenal however, totally saved the movie from being a total waste of time for me.
i never saw the 1st one, just the 2nd one, and i liked it. besides, movies are cheap enough to watch here anyway. $3 a ticket, and if u go on wednesday, its buy one get one free

I avoid theatres on wednesdays like the plague... Or even malls that have theatres.
You haven't seen pirates 1??!?!?! wtfux. I have it and it's 10000x better, come on over whenever.
I like both. The 2nd was better. Those pissed off at the ending don't get the notion of sequels. Probably was pissed of at ending of The Empire Strikes Back too. The 3rd part will be out next summer and you know youa re going to see it no matter what. Oh by the way if it sucked so bad it wouldn't be making $400 million in the US alone. Sucky movies maybe sneak in one good week-end before word of mouth turns people away.
Also if you haven't seen the first movie rent it before seeing the 2nd.
I can't believe that chick was 17 when she made the first Pirates.
The second one doesn't clearly have an ending; that's exactly what made the first one better. After that fast paced action scenes, I wasn't really expecting the would just end on that; but that's exactly how they made it--they left us hungry and craving for the final chapter.
I guess we'll just have to wait for the third part and enjoy that final journey of Captain Jack Sparrow.
i havn't watched it yet... actually, i'm planning to but from the negative comments i've read, i'm having second thoughts

nearly all the sequels suck compared to the original...
The way I see it is that ALL SEQUELS that come out because the original was a hit, so they quickly make a second ends up sucking.
But if the story is based off more than one, say, LOTR then the sequels don't suck as bad. Movies/stories that are made to be more than one before the first one comes out end up being good series, but like Pirates, it seems like they decided that the first one was a blockbuster so they decided lets make this go on to a second one.
But I haven't seen it and after what people say, I might just wait until the DVD comes out.
