But some idiot people like you just need to keep up with fashion mode and get always the lastest versions of all, no matter how good or bad it is.

Keep CS ;) It opens an extra port on your computer and allows me to get into your system and steal your information. WHITE FAT BALD AMERICAN LOSER. :1orglaugh

Can't stand the CS. What a piece of shit Adobe came up with. They were able to keep it real for all those 11 versions before but now they've really ruined it.

Actually I have a pretty good tan (pool in backyard) I am in excellent shape, I have hair to my shoulders, I am in America by choice since not being a loser I have the resources to live anywhere. (Webby does tempt my looking at CR)

So how was your day and why the anger over cheap upgrades that most use to keep current in their professional fields?

Got me to thinking about upgrading!

Honestly you can do pretty much everything with PS7...

The graphic interface involved, there are a couple new filters if I'm not mistaken.

new cropping tools for images etc etc.

Are you really working on comuters fulltime ? One thing I know damn well, is that as soon as you let the technology pass you, you will be lost at a certain point.

That goes for programming languages and various tech in the online world.

And as far as CS opening a big bad hole in my comp :
1st : I got my windows firewall on by default, and I don't let it connect
2nd : I couldn't care less. I've had maybe one virus and no hackers attact on my personal computer in my whole life. And I couldn't care less if they log onto my comp wich is highly unlikely.

It's not expensive, $150 upgrade for a designer that uses it daily is not exactly a lot of money... and if you have your firewall configured correctly, there is no need to worry about photoshop opening up ports...

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 08-13-2006 11:42 PM

I really liked PS 6 and 7, but decided it was easier to use CS2 with OSX (I use Macs almost exclusively). Since I like to work in ImageReady, it is a bit of a pain in the ass when I have to switch to Photoshop for some of the tools, and then back again, but whatever...

BTW, have you used Adobe Bridge yet? Great for batch processing! Easy to learn, makes editing a breeze, and works with Raw images too. :thumbsup

That sounds good...I usually either create droplets in Image Ready or actions in photoshop, but if there's something nice and easy I'll give it a try, ty for the suggestion :D

u-Bob 08-14-2006 03:44 AM

Further versions like CS, suck, because they connect a server and they are allowed to get into your system. Just look in your task manager an dyou will find a surprise. It opens an aditional port to connect to it. Also it uses extra memory.

man use firewall and block the connections, isnt so hard to do it. And memory it is always a problem, as more you have, more you want.

I used p7 and while tested cs and cs2. And I can say cs is shit, but cs2 is better than p7, it has some features that with p7 you need more time to do them. you can always use trial versions to test the software, https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/i...duct=photoshop
and if you like you upgrade or not.

Lykos 08-14-2006 04:29 AM

Don't use it at all:)

My fave version is 5.5.. pretty good and tuned up with 100's of useful plugins some worth $800 alone so I am doing the job there and may give it a finishing touch in ps7 or cs. :thumbsup :winkwink:

Awww...still using Photoshop 7, stupid win xp wont install on my pc.. Still gets the work done though.

DeanCapture 08-18-2006 07:42 AM

Thanks for all the replies folks. I just bought CS2 but I think I'll keep PS7 as well. I know PS7 inside-n-out so I might have to rely on it for a while until I get the hang of CS2. There are some new bad-ass image plugins that I want and they don't work with PS7 so that was the deciding factor in purchasing CS2. Otherwise, I'd just keep my trust PS7 and make due. I bought a brand new (never opened) boxed CS2 on eBay for $280 - not bad huh???

Itchy 08-18-2006 07:47 AM

ps7 does all I need it to do for now ;)

carol.prime 08-18-2006 07:50 AM

Our web designers and graphic artists uses CS2 :)

LadyMischief 08-18-2006 08:08 AM

I use Photoshop 7 personally. I have CS2, I have used it, but to be perfectly honest it's still buggy and pissy enough to really screw up my workflow. Several projects I had to start from the beginning because cs2 died and took my current psd along with it. I got sick and tired of the bs so I stick with Photoshop7.

a1ka1ine 08-18-2006 08:11 AM

i use cs but it sucks! wish there was a better alternative :)

Magix 08-18-2006 08:39 AM
