Is a LCD TV the same as a LCD monitor?

Can I use a LCD TV as a monitor for my computer?

I think most of the LCD TV'z these days can handle a decent resolution.

an HD tv will do 1920x1080 (1080i, 1080p). A regular one will not do the kind of resolution you want.

Where are you getting this info? Cause very few tv's right now do 1080p.

From what I have seen, they don't work near as well. Like a 26" LCD TV that is say $800 (costco) will not look as good as a 24" Dell LCD. It could be different with a higher quality LCD Tv.
