A domain sale $750,000+ this past week.

This was quite a day (August 8) at Moniker.com. The company announced the $166,650 sale of HomeImprovement.com and CEO Monte Cahn told us they also had a sale above $750,000 that could not be released due to a non disclosure agreement. Oh yes, one other thing...the company was sold.

Other notable TLD sales:

Townhouse.net $7,188
Refinance.org $34,980
Score.biz $4,492

quite a few .org's this time. Always interesting to see the weeks sales.

Yeah it's fun to read DNJournal. Just wish I entered
the domain business in early 1990.

You can always dream

Sucks that they sold to Kanoodle. Kanoodle is a bunch of scammers, they still owe me $5000 back from 1999, it was big money back then. They closed their per click affiliate program and said they just wouldn't pay me, no reason. fuckers.

moniker was not sold - they have been partners with kanoodle for traffic for quite some time - just an adjustment in business structure - no one is leaving

Moniker will stay the same. Monte and Eric run the company as always and the rest of the staff stays the same. We will still be on the forums, at the trade shows, and any other place where we can interact with our great customers. We look forward to having access to some additional resources within Seevast that will help us accelerate some really cool services to market.

I had an interesting experience with Chris from Moniker.

He e-mailed me with an offer to mve all my domains over to them and then dropped the ball. no more e-mails or any other communication from him.

I just find it weird that they would solicit me and then not follow through.

I just spent $7,500 on some new domains with fabulous because of this.

Odd, can't say I have any experience with Chris but normally this type of stuff doesn't happen. Maybe he has a perfectly logical explanation though, you never know.
