:mad Windtalkers... Don't waste your money

As some of you know we did quite a bit of work on Windtalkers. I posted many times about it, while we were working on it.

It looked good from what I saw (back then). Well last night was the cast and crew screening in SantaMonica (3rd Street)

I foolishly thought it would have been about the Navajo CodeTalkers of WWII. LOL I'm soooo stupid. Here's the movie synopsis: "I'm Nic Cage, look at me!"

Don't get me wrong. I like Nic on a personal level, but dayyuuumm.

Seriously, it should have been called "Joe Enders and the Battle of Saipan"

If I were a Navajo, I'd sue somebody. The movie is called "Windtalkers" and we only see the code in effect MAYBE 4 times.

No joke it was 10 minutes of story surronded by 2 1/2 hours of explosions. I don't know how many more times I could have seen an explosion with stuntmen being launched on air rams, in slow motion, before I lost it in the theatre.

Plus (technically speaking) there is an "important" scene with Nic and Adam where Nic tells "his story" and the whole fuckin' thing was out of focus. I couldn't believe it, with all this fucking money they couldn't have reshot some of that?

I was totally expecting to come on here this morning, and post how proud I was to have been a part of a great tribute to the Navajo Indians, instead, I'm embarrased my name is even in the credits.

I don't blame John Woo.... Ok, wait I guess I do blame John Woo for 1/2 of this piece of shit film, I blame MGM for the other 1/2.

Trust me I could go on, and on, about how lame this film was but... I won't. Imean, I guess I just did, but I won't continue.

John Woo, MGM, Nic Cage, John Smith, Dick "the prick" Stenta... GFY!!!

It's not just my it's the facts!

I'm almost debating weather or not I should give the movie away, spoil it, just so no one sees it anyway!.
Yes, that's how overly dramatic I can be.

I spent well over a year and a half on the film fighting mostly with Kevin... and for this film to be as bad as it is. There is no payoff for the work, and that's dissapointing.

I just saw it.
And I saw something real fucking cool in the credits that was worth the price of the ticket.

It said:

Effects Director: Red Shoe of the Boneprone Family

I cheered and felt as if I were a kid again at the theatre hearing the into music to Return of the Jedi.

It was Great! It was worth the Price of the ticket.
My Dad was wondering what the fuck I was doing watching all the credits. It was great!

As far as best and authentic war/action movies, I'd have to add "BAND OF BROTHERS" mini-series to the list!

Nic Cage can eat me!
