If anything he is in dire straights. Its unheard of for him to turn over power even to Raul.
Yesterday Cuba started to draft all males over 18 into the Army and put out a press release they're preparing for a US invasion, which is completely absurd and paranoid to the max.
Worst thing that could happen would be finding out Castro is dead and then the military tosses out Raul and a power struggle ensues. If that occurs you'll see an ocean full mass exodus of hundreds of thousands of Cubans in boats heading to Miami.

First off, the halth care system is one of the best in the world. Second, very few of the Cubans are really happy, and yes thousands of them have been tortured.
The Cubans that stand at the events, are there because they give out free food, and beer, and sometimes t-shirts. Other than that, they are not intereted in listening to someone rant for 3 ours when it is 90 degrees, and muggy.
How do I know. I grew up in Cuba, and left when I was 23. My father, a US citizen then claimed me, and I flew to Miami.Comment
