    Should I start the drama now?

    12 days ago I designed 4 gallery templates for a new sponsor. I talked to the account rep and delivered the files in 2 days like he asked.

    I was stupid and delivered the files before I got the payment

    I asked him to send me the $100 epassporte asap because I was realy needing that money. He said ok.

    A couple of days later, no money, I asked him again. He said he would ask his boss to send it. I waited.

    A couple of days later, no money, I asked him again. He said he couldnt get his boss online but he was going to take care of it.

    Another couple of days, no money, he said the accounting people were to blame. Then he asked me my name and address for the records. Payment should follow.

    Another day and no money, he said he didnt know why, he was going to talk to some people and have them send the money.

    Another couple of days and no money, he said accounting was being lazy, but today should be the day.

    Another day and no money.... 10 days since I delivered the templates and I'm tired of having to beg for $100 that I earned!

    I believe this rep is not fucking with me, I think he is pissed with the situation too. I dont want to make drama, I dont want to post his name or the company, BUT I DO WANT MY MONEY!

    I went to the sponsor's site and my templates are already available in the promotion area.

    One thing is for sure, I will never send the files before I get my money again!

    So, what do I do now?

              Quit dealing with the Rep and ask to speak to his Boss, or have him conference in his Boss on the call. Once you get him on the line, get the accounting people on the line too.

                                  that sucks i have someone owe me money for galleries for 8 months now. should i start a drama thread? lol no. i hope we could fix the problem though.. about sponsor not paying their orders on time is bullshite! although it might be ok if that sponsor was a long time client and has credibility. but i just hate keep on waiting for the hardwork you made.. goodluck

                                          At this point, I wouldn't worry or believe what the rep uses as an excuse from the Boss, or accounting, or whatever. I would demand they take it down from the promotion area, and pay up with penalty fees. Or out them big-time.                                                                                                                                       $85. So now you're in for your time + the filing fee. Add the time to go to court. Say they don't show and you end up with a judgement? the courts here usually set another date and you have to come back anyway before you get your judgement. Now you have to collect on the judgement. Hard to do in some states here, esp for a small amount like $100.

That way, the chance of someone getting screwed is reduced. You want the other half, so you'll finish the work. You at least have half for your efforts.

                                                                                                                                      Since the amount is $100, I'd just out them and copy the thread link to the boss and the rep. In fact I'd start a new thread and make it short and to the point. Company X, contracted for artwork, I delivered and they didn't pay, here is a link to my efforts on their behalf.

                                                                                                                                      I'd stop trying to extort what is rightly yours by threats.

                                                                                                                                      Payment terms should always be understood upfront. That can be done in ICQ for small stuff like this. If you're needing money to live on a $100 is a lot.

                                                                                                                                      I can't speak for choker, but bet he'd be all over someones ass if they cheated him out of $100. I think I've seen him bitch on this board for lesser dollar amount.

                                                                                                                                      Also welcome to the real world. I've been screwed over in mainstream and adult transactions. I rack it up to lessons learned. Sometimes expensive lessons learned.

                                                                                                                                      You can win moral victories and feel better sometimes by outing them or causing them grief. In the end, it is all about the money.

                                                                                                                                                                      I got an ICQ message yesterday from the rep offering $30 from is personal epass to make up for the delay. That's nice of him and it's a start, BUT I still dont see those $30 in my account and getting $30 to shut up now when I was really needing my $100 12 days ago is not the same thing.

                                                                                                                                                                      Anyway, pay me the $100 today, send me an extra $30 if you feel you owe me that, whatever... but do pay me today.

I have started a thread regarding this and there are many who are waiting to hear - I am sorry it has come to this but ignoring your responsibilities to paying your clients either shows you do NOT have 100$ in your account which webmasters need to know your about bankrupt - OR - you treat the little guys like shit and that smaller webmasters and future designers will face the same fate.
