Did you buy it? build it? ... I'm looking at building one, but I want the biggest possible and lenses are expensive. I'd like to know if anyone has inside tips; I know a few of you guys are astronomy buffs.

My white telescope is pocket size and my black telescope, I need a tripod to hold the mother up.

Fizzgig and I are both into astronomy, and we live in an area where the viewing is great.

Correction: I'm getting into it. :D I don't know nearly as much as I'd like to; Fizzgigi is a veteran amateur astronomer.

been looking at gettina telescope , being in a country area no city lights around would make for a good sky

I would be into it if I lived out in the country away from lights with a nice deck for good viewing. I'd get something to hook to the computer so you can auto aim it.

Go buy one from a local astrologic Center,I bet you can't find a better one

Ho powerful is the black one. I have an old on here. It's not too powerful to have a clear view of moon's surface.
