Photoshop Tip: Stubble removal - GoFuckYourself.com

Since I am retouching photos I thought I'd share a tip for you.

A great and quick way to remove stubble around the pubes and arm pits.

Use the stamp tool, but set to mode to lighten. This will make it so that it only stamps on top of darker areas (ie, hair stubble). Use a large soft brush and about 25% opacity. Set your reference point only a smiggin away from where you'll be clicking (so the skin color matches), and click away and watch the stubble dissappear without the area becoming a big blurry mess.

Pubic stubble - the bane of all who retouch. Good tip f'sure - I was using the clone stamp set to low %, but not lighten mode or soft brush.

Lighten mode is the key... also great for fixing uneven skin color. First use the lighten mode, then use the darken mode and the skin will start to even out while somewhat keeping the natural texture.

dont use the clone stamp, that's totally not what it's meant for. use the healing brush tool and set it up properly so theres no blur

The clone clones. The healing brush gathers image data from around the placement of the tool and blends it properly. With proper settings it won't blur.

I personally find the healing brush does a better job.

However, I am going to go try your method myself and compare the two again.

yeah, I just shaved a girl with the healing brush, perfect skin, looks like she was waxed.

Used your method, left a way lighter than normal crotch behind with artifacts from the cloned piece in the edited part of the image.

Looks like it would be handy for really up close right at the edge of the lips part though.

I mostly work in ImageReady, and I briefly checked the Healing Brush feature when it first came out on Photoshop 7 (I think it was) and I wasn't that impressed.

I'm using PS CS2 now, and since the cloning and blur tools are no longer in ImageReady, I find myself more and more in Photoshop, so I'll give the tutorial another shot.

Always nice to know multiple methods.

Uneven

Took way too much information and smoothed out some spots way too much. I usually remove stuble from the entire crotch when de-striping a pussy to get the full illusion of baldness

however, the average viewer wouldnt even know there was hair there before with yoru example.
