How much credit card processing should cost?

Is it normal to pay to third party processors 15-20% of the turnover? And chargeback expenses also lay on you! Also as far as I understood they don't deal with off-shore companies. Please help me to clarify the situation, why it is so expensive and does every adult site pay something around these numbers? Lets say I run live cams and have a turnover of $50,000 weekly, quite big sums for charging. I tried to plan live cam site and can tell that it is not possible to succeed paying 20% for charging + taxes if it is not an off-shore biz.

with $50k a week you won't pay 15% but something like 8/9% .

I need to know who is the best to choose for credit card processings! There should be a contract with off-shore registered company+low processing fees+stability.

Hi yauya,

While you're shopping processors, don't forget about ACH (online checks)! Take a look at ACHdebit.com, for the most complete checking solution available. Drop me a line, I'd love to discuss billing options and rates with you.

Kind Regards,
Ben Zuckerman

3% to 3.5% depends to the CC itself If you are in Europe, open a ltd company in the Uk and get an account with Barclays. For 25 Pounds per Year you will have a ready to use solution to charge CC by yourself even with recurring options.

Thanks to you all for replies! I will contact everyone today-tomorrow. I already received an e-mail with terms from paycom.net earlier, so won't ask the same again.
If someone can give me more information: I am looking for reliable third party processor, which is dealing with off-shore registered companies and have competitive prices.
