LOL I'm CST now. Haven't been in LA for couple weeks so yes, it's almost 1:30am here and I have to be up in a few hours to hop a plane.

I feel your pain as I'm a career insomniac.

What do your doctors say the problem is (or do they even have a guess)?

Mine is from stress from working FT, Grad school (and now trying to have a sideline business venture in porn) PLUS having a brain that has difficulty "powering down" as they put it.

I've tried all the sleep aids there are (prescription and non prescription) and nothing works. They either drug me and leave me feeling hung over or do nothing or in a few instances have the OPPOSITE effect on me and wire me.

You have my sympathy. I've been an insomniac my whole life, and now I've been diagnosed with apnea as well, which means I stop breathing every few minutes until my brains starves of oxygen and wakes me up by gasping for air. Then I fall asleep again, cycle repeats the whole night.

I was falling asleep watching the making of V for Vendetta, so shut it off and went to bed.

2 hours later and I'm still up.

I just accepted it. I now get three or so hours of sleep a day, was hard at first years ago but now it feels normal.

I was up all night last night :-(

Im talking watch the sun come up without having gotten any sleep yet UP ALL NIGHT. :-( Just couldn't get my mind settled.

Tonight I am so freakin tired from no sleep for going on 36 hours................its 12:20am and Im still not able to feel like I could close my eyes and drift off.

Just took 2 tylenol PM and hoping for the best!

I never try to get to sleep for more than 20 min, if I can't fall asleep I get up and work/do something until I feel like sleeping. Always works for me but my schedule is very fucked up because of that
