Tropical Storm Chris is brewing...

this was sent to me...

Latest Associated Press reports

Tropical Storm Chris forms near the Leeward Islands
MIAMI ? Tropical Storm Chris, the third named storm of the 2006 Atlantic hurricane season, developed early Tuesday near the Leeward Islands, forecasters said.

Chris had top sustained winds near 40 miles per hour, just above the threshold for a tropical storm, according to the National Hurricane Center.

A tropical storm warning was posted for the islands of Antigua, Barbuda, Anguilla, St. Kitts, Nevis, Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Barthelemy and St. Martin. A tropical storm watch was issued for Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands.

If it survives into the Gulf it could be a real problem. I've been following this one since it began as a tropical wave. Its managed to get through a lot of stuff that should have dissipated it.

Right now there is another warm sea eddy that broke off in the gulf and this enables storms that pass over it to really power up.

So we could see another New Orleans catastrophe this season.

Here's the latest US NRL (US Naval Research Lab) track path.

It still has to survive a ULL, shear, and get much better organized, but all things considered it could end up a Cat 1 or 2 especially it it manages to get into the gulf.

I don't think it will amount to much unless it hits these HOT waters we have in the gulf right now.

Has anyone taken into account the amount of polar ice that has melted causing desalinization of the North Atlantic Current?

All the big playas at Internext struck down by the storm!!! The trolls and wanna-bees take it up a notch! It's a cruel world.

I'll be safe in the midwest with tornados, no power and a heatwave you could BBQ with.

Did I mention the boil order on water. Didn't find out till the day after the announcement. Pumps at the waste treatment plant failing. Power grid over loaded just incase the storms don't take out the distribution.

The sky is falling!

The Governor called up a few National Guard troops. A signal for no looting. Plus it gives ya good feeling seeing military vechiles roaming the streets as they place more cameras up at every intersection.
