What Happened to Clay Andrews Racing?

Was looking at the morning sports news and read this. STORY LINK
I thought after that big win that they had a bright future ahead of them.

I wish them all the luck in thier other successful racing ventures!

My guess is that they closed shop knowing that their chances of repeating such a remarkable win were too slim to warrant the exorbintant costs associated with operating a Busch team. They pulled off one of the biggest wins ever, in a field full of veteran drivers and turned the series upside down.

They got to experience the thrill of victory, visit the winners circle and make their mark in the Busch series. That's something that many of the more established teams haven't and will not ever get to experience. It is a very smart move to get out now, while on top, than to spend millions chasing something they have already experienced. It's likely that kind of decision making savvy netted them the win in the first place.

Congrats to them for such an amazing win

They didn't have him under contract, they were a part time team running with a part time driver. They couldn't afford to run a full schedule either, and that is what he wanted to do.

From what's been reported, from what I've read on Nascar's site -- He's only signed for 1 Busch race for Robert Yates Racing, so they can get a better look at what he can do.

Chances are, if they like him enough, he may end up in Elliot Sadlers #38 M&M's car that he won't be in next year.
