Would affiliates go for this as a promo?

What ever they earn in payouts during the month of August we double in content to the value of.

We need a promo to kick it up and we could give out more money, but everyone does that and if we give out too much it means everyone and there brother joins and ruins it for most. But content is something I feel the better affiliates will have a good use for.

So what do you guys think.

$29.99 join earns you $18.00 in money and $18,00 in content.

Send 10 and it's $18.00 + $180.00

The content would come out of either of our stores. For the affiliate to use as the license allows.

sounds like a good idea, but why even ask instead of just doing it? if affiliates don't go for it, you will just try something different next time....

Can you clarify please?

OK

They get 60% rev share or $25 for the PPS, these are base figures, big hitters get more. So thats the cash payout, same as normal.

For August we will add $20 worth of content for every sign up. It's easier this way than to match the $ amount.

So send 1 sign up and it's $18 rev share for August alone and $25 PPS. Plus $20 worth of content.

Send 10 sign ups and it's $180 rev share for August alone and $250 PPS. Plus $200 worth of content. No ceiling to the amount of signups you can send.

Make sense?

I've looked at NATS and made the decision that for now we will stick with CCBILL.

They turn down very little and run the affiliates side. If we took on NATS there would be a saving of 4% on the processing and it is getting close to the time when we have to very seriously consider it.

But there are downsides to NATS, one being I will have to spend all days signing checks. LOL

just wondering, how would you save 4% on cc processing by switching to NATs?

content promo sounds like a good idea too

CCBILL charge 15%, would go via Webstream as our main processor at 11%

The affiliates will be mailed tomorrow telling them the details of the new promo.

why not go with NATS + check writing service?

there was a thread a few days ago about affiliate payment services..

or just have your accountant do it?

if you're making any money at all on the paysite side, seems like it wouldnt even be a question whether to take a 4% savings or not...

I an thinking very seriously of going the NETS route. got a lot of trips planned for the next few months and will look at it down the line.

I've looked at this and seriously starting to think it's better for us to offer a higher % than free hosting. We end up spending more on free surfers hosting than members in total. To get a few more sign ups from people who can't afford hosting.

Here is my view ... I have been submitting for years, I get listings on all the big tgps daily .. but it has to be on my domain www.xxx.com.. you have GREAT content and the site ( www.paulmarkhamteens.com ) to send it too ..
give me hosting and content zero overhead and you experience to sell.. I think it would pay off by far .. bandwidth is pretty cheap.. it may be worth a try ...

I don't mind educating people to do things better.

They will have to compete on more levels than giving the affiliates a freebie. What about the new content we put up every day and the level of content?

I've looked at this a couple of times and still feel that it's hardly cost effective.

Hosting for the "Tour and free surfers" costs a fortune, in BW and hardware, and from what I can see the return is minimal. Would we be better off giving affiliates more money and saying "Host it yourself" than hosting it and giving them 60%?

The fly in the ointment is 2257 and I think a lot of affiliates will need to think hard about hosting anything.

Free content to use however they want or only to promote your sites more with? Because, and correct me if I am wrong, don't most programs already give you free content in the form of, well, free content, and FHGs?

Free content for you to use as you please. The content given to you buy sponsors is not free, it's for you to use to send traffic to their site. They in effect own the traffic.
