Guba and the most recent Ransomware issue

So I read all these threads in regards to Guba and most recently the sponsors that are promoting spyware/ransomware. I can't say I know much about either of the two issues in depth, as I haven't done enough research..unless you call GFY research. But either way, i'm curious about something.

You have Guba which apparently is using tons of sponsor programs exclusive content and profiting off it. All of GFY was/and is still up in arms about them. Owners of programs, gallery makers, TGP guys, everyone is going nuts over Guba. Ok, I understand why on the surface on things as people do have a right to be upset about their stolen content.

Now on to more recent events. You have sponsors promoting this spyware/ransomware thing. Now this one I have done a bit of research on and it's pretty crazy what these guys are doing.

So my question is, why is Guba underfire by so many people in our industry, when all along these same people are promoting this spyware? I don't understand how content is a more important issue to the industry, then blatantly screwing over the people (surfers) with spyware..after all, these surfers are putting food on our tables.

And why when it's a Guba issue, you have a 50 page thread along with half the industry in the thread bitching, but when it's a ransomware issue promoted by our own industry sponsors, you get a 4 page thread.

Now, i've been in this industry long enough to know that this business is worst then Washington when it comes to politics and far worst when it comes to hypocrites. So I don't expect much in regards to answers.

And another thing. If sponsors are taking this action with promoting ransomware and screwing over the surfers, does that mean that I can promote Guba now and not get shit for it on the boards? Cause if you think about it, if my opinion is fully against ransomware, shouldn't I be promoting Guba and giving away your exclusive content to my surfers through Guba?

Either way, I didn't create this thread to flame or to come down on anyone. I'm really interested in a discussion. I'm sure i'll be flamed either way.

To be honest, I'm genuinely curious as to why one is bad in your opinion while the other is ok...or vice versa.

Don't promote sponsors that promote ransomware if you think it's not good. There's plenty of sponsors around. Some use ransomware, some use excessive pop-ups, some use prechecked crossells, some use all, some use none. Find one that suits you.

..and Guba has nothing to do with the ransomware. They steal content.

Because you get to condemn the thing that's being done by the enemy of your friend. Different friends command different condemnations.

Are we supposed to make a choice now about whats worse?

Why compare either?

Negative x Negative = Negative2.

I know Guba has nothing to do with ransomware. But if sponsors think it's ok to take over people computers and infect them with spyware, then why is NOT ok for me or anyone else to promote Guba? Why is content more important then the surfers who put food on my table?
