Im really not that mad... frankly I could care less i was just being a drama queen.
But I see enough similarity in the graphic design that I bet we used the same grafix designer. |
BTW count the little circle thingys in each grafic 19....Coincidence?
|
its the same shit!
who doesnt notice it... have some HUGE problems... |
If you're going off the hook about this, what about blog designs, they're all the same.
|
would you feel less threatened if the background was red instead?
to me looks like too basic of a layout......screencaps with text in the middle. Anyways, hope u catch him i guess. |

This is why when you go to sit down and design a new site it's always best to start with a blank page and create from your own creative talent. If you have to go looking at other websites for inspiration then look, but don't touch. Only the weak, feeble-minded, and lazy cheating idiots need to view source/save an entire website and build on another's hard work. This is what it gets you, a thread like this exposing your lazy cheating ass.
I'm with Nocarrier on this one. And yes, it's been done to me in the past. I had my lawyer send C&D orders to the guy (he was in Germany) and to the host he was with, and luckily enough it scared him enough to smarten up and change his shit. There wouldn't have been much more I could have done to him. |
Both of those pages look just like the old thumbzilla entrance page from a few years ago

I would start with these guys: http://www.everydns.net/
There's a support link at the bottom, which opens an email to an "@everybox.com" addy. If they can't lead you to the actual host he's with, well, they appear to be providing him a service, they can be threatened too, if that's where you're thinking of going with this. |
I get this:

oh get over it, nothing on the net is original anymore, ESPECIALLY layouts... thats like making a normal tgp layout then suing everyone else because its the same layout, but with different graphics...
oh yeah, its PPC so im all wrong, blah blah blah, no its not... its the exact same, only thing is, you're paying per visitor who comes to your site instead of trading them |
idiots
off course second site looks better because its 2006 now, and NC created his page in 2002 the guy had 4 years to think and add some improvements :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |

Hell there was one for sale on GFY here maybe a year ago with that same kinda layout. |
Agreed, and it happens to all of us. This is a clear case of what was said earlier, a guy can't start with a blank page and create something unique so he goes to other sites in the similar space and starts by copying the site and then changes it up as much as he can to try to make it look different.
That's why I don't fool myself into thinking I am a designer, I'm not, so when I need a site done, I pay someone to do it originally and creatively. In this case even though the copied site is a bit different it looks like it's clear that he started with a copy...at least to me. I have to give this one to NoCarrier. Unfortunately you have to waste your time trying to get it changed now, and it is different enough that you might have a hard time with that. good luck, anyway though. |

could be a reseller though, but layered tech owns the box |
yup ripped
hes gonna say code isnt copyrighted and the border was 1 pixel wider |
No offense but the content is totally different.
The text is different, and the pictures are different. I can't find the copy. So, it's more like a subjetive thing? To some it could look like a copy and to others don't? I remember when someone did copy literally one of my sites and the guy got sued for it. But if he would just copy the position of my images and text, I would have never do anything. I'm using common sense. :) |

It's a total rip. Anyone who thinks differently is either blind, retarded or a thief himself.

Also it would not surprise me if both webmasters hired the same designer. :1orglaugh

Thanks for posting this, I'm ripping the site right now.... btw their site looks better, I'd do like a "reverse ripoff"
|
Time to move on.
The original 2003 design is caught in a timewarp...I use the term 'design' loosely as there is no design.... a heading here, some text there...a photo here...it's a shocker. The inspired website is not much better. You should be flattered someone thought enough of shit to eat shit. This a drama that doesn't need to happen. Rule of thumb, upgrade your site every 6-12 months, make it fresh and clean and keep your opposition guessing. Lyn |

It is a rip regardless of what is changed. Atleast he did enough to change the layout of the page a little. I've seen some that are the same exact sites with different link codes. It does suck with PPC campaigns and I've seen it happen quite often.
|
it is a rip!! .. but , its all about the BUTT :)

DDOS his ass
