The traffic can be profitable, if you make a sale that rebills 1-2 times, it's 60-90$. It's like 200 sales/week, 30/day on 180.000 uniques, 1:6000, on PimpRoll exits, to break even. Not that bad, isn't it? It's not traffic for affiliates, with 14.97/sale, it's traffic for paysite owners. Not really like member area traffic, but not bad, think that this traffic is already filtered to 1-5% CTR galleries tgp traffic, or SE, PPC ect. and niche filtered too. I wish I had my paysites done...

Your numbers are way off. You are not getting 180,000 daily uniques. That's the total for all pop up slots.

Exit traffic is filtered and highly targetted.. it is probably the most sought after traffic source in adult. (in terms of the amount available combined with the quality.. obviously I'd love 100,000 uniques of SE traffic for "I want to sign up for a porn site" .. but it just doesnt exist...)

You're also paying for a premium. Most of this traffic is generated from excellent sources of traffic. So before you start making assumptions as to how shitty exit traffic is, think about where it comes from.

I'm comparing traffic to traffic. Obviously some forms of traffic are much more valuable than others, and they are priced accordingly.

Just because YOU couldn't make a profit on the traffic at those prices doesn't mean it's a bad deal.

This is a great opportunity for some to pick up some good traffic. For those that think they are pricey, you can't look at the overall picture, you need to break it down by CPM. Makes it look a lot cheaper. : )
