why make this thread? The more you talk about spam the more legit webmasters turn to it...common sense...leave well enough alone

yeap,i bet they mailed half of the sites listed on sextracker.

The most annoying spam lately is the one i get from http://www.pleasurebank.net/ for traffic trade. He even e-mails my mainstream domains.........

For those of you who have NOT, why not? Is it "bad for the industry?" I'll ask again here what I asked today on another thread: Are any of you who would say "HELL NO" to the poll submitters or owners of TGPs?

Bad for the industry.

that's easy. i say hell no, because spam annoys the piss out of me. it wastes my time each day, deleting/ignoring/filtering. pissing me off is not good way to try doing business with me. some fucker emails me wanting to switch to his hosting (for example) - delete and fuck off. period.

i don't give a shit if it's 'bad for the industry' or not. it's annoying as hell. however, i think in fact it IS bad for the industry, but that's not the issue i'm trying to address. webmaster specific spam - if no one responded to it, it would not continue to increase.

when i told a girl that i was involved in adult websites, she asked me right away if i was one of the people sending her the spam emails, and told me that it was very annoying..

i guess it does hurt the business and gives us a bad reputation.

My personal favourites are the ones where they want to trade links but it is "put my banner on your site, then come enter all your details on my site and I may list you"

Yeah right.

That's happened to me a few times. As soon as anyone finds out what I do, they start complaining to me about spam. They also mention CP and beasty sites. The spam is always first though.
