I think most people type with www. but just because they don't know it's not necessary. I type without.

I type the domain name then i click Ctrl+enter which automatically types in www and .com

reason I ask is because I have a domain being pointed to another via CNAME & when with www. it works fine, but when without www, it goes to parent company, not my cobrand.
