I guess on the positive side if the reason it was taken down is that there's not much content shot for the site and no way to rotate it, it might be a good thing for webmasters. Sounds like she's not into it anymore, which is reason #1 to shot ALOT of content when you have the opportunity. Then again, probably 90% of the solo sites are in rotation already.

I can't think of any reasons to take down a legal site. Hell, the site was NN wasn't it?

i dont know why some of you are assuming i didnt own the content. of course i own the content, i am not a fucking moron. the girl is my friend, and THAT is why i respected her wishes of having it taken down. i did not want to lose her friendship. otherwise, if she was not a friend, i would have said fuck her and kept the site up anyway. i have learned alot from the mistake of working with a friend. won't happen again. for those who say they will not promote my program[again], good. more money for me. :)

Of course you're not a moron. People spend time and money building a site for a girl and then close it down 3 days later all the time. I think Lightspeed does that on a monthly basis.

I'm glad you kept your friendship and learned not to work with friends. It still doesn't do much for your reputation which in my book, would be completely shot. When you put up a site and ask for affiliates, you better have your ducks in a row. It's not a game to some of us, it's a business. When people spend hours putting up galleries and links, they don't usually like to hear that it was all a waste because the program owner didn't have their shit together.

As for the last line, I think it summed up your business sense. Less affiliates = more money for you? Sounds like maybe you should shut down the whole program and you'll have all the money. Maybe you should get the word out to all the stupid programs on the board who are promoting their affiliate program and making less money buy bringing in more affiliates.

It is very difficult for a program to thrive without affiliate traffic and showing that attitude, even if it was prompted by agression, is NOT the way to win friends and influence people to promote your sites.

Mmmm hmmm. I'm just going to use the campaigns for another sponsor, though .. it only takes like 3 days to change over ... it's not much money lost, just annoying. It was only doing 10 or so signups/day on that traffic anyway.
