its very rare, but usually happens when there has been no food. One thing that I was reading not long ago, is that they now have proof that some brown bears have mated with polars, and that makes for a very dangerous mix. the browns have had much more human contact, and are not as scared of them.

it's a wild animal, what do you excpect? when hungry the male willl stalk female bear and her cubs for miles and miles until one of the cabs can't walk any more and then the male bear eats it alive
