Superman Returns > Why does Lois have two different coloured eyes?

There aren't any cliffhangers worth the name, and the longed-for reconciliation between Superman and Lois is handled too coyly for anyone to notice. Kate Bosworth's 1940s look is right for the retro stylings of the production design, and her different-coloured eyes (one brown, one blue) offer the teasing hint that, like Superman, she's not entirely of this world either. Unfortunately she hasn't a very light touch, and makes Lois more of a petulant miss than perhaps was intended. I ultimately found myself hankering for Margot Kidder in the 1978 movie.

I've seen Kate in many other pictures and stuff, I know she has blue and brown naturally.... but I think she usually has to wear contacts to hide that sorta thing.

I just found it odd that they'd show such close up shots of her eyes in such a blockbuster like this and not make her eyes less... uhmm... distracting.

i know they spent a lot of time changing supermans eye color for the movie so im guessing they left it in for some reason

I think its cool.. I've actually never seen her in a movie when they change her eye color to be the same in both eyes.
