what made you decide to write your story?

E$_manager 07-16-2006 10:30 PM

is it some lesson for others?

Drake 07-16-2006 10:31 PM

Interesting post

I'm confused. What part of this is inspiring?

This guy lied to not only himself but also others. He created fake people to operate his company. It didn't work. He quit.

He lied. And he quit. Why are you inspired? Because he "had the balls" to admit where he fucked up or because he's stating the old cliche "the journey is the real trip"?

Its nice that you realized where you failed. Its nice that you're telling the people that you lied to that you actually lied to them. And I'm sure you're doing fine now, but this is far from an inspirational story unless you're trying to inspire people to depend on deceit for "success".

The info I was about to make the mistake of sharing is not worthy of everyones ears.

I agree with Sly...why are people congratulating this dude for lying to everyone and fessing up? he lied and continued to lie for months at a time, and never would be honest at all

now he comes back and admits to it later and we are expected to forgive him

whatever

Just a heads up, he didn't end up going anywhere. He gave up. Not sure why you would congratulate anybody for that.

Im with Sly, an inspirational story would involve some adversary. An obstable to be conquered. Biting your teeth into a dream and never letting go.

I agree with u too!

But sometimes, u get some other dreams, when u r on the way. "Giving up" for something else is just as tough as proceding with your first dream.
Now, when u quit something, just because it's to hard, then u r really a coward. But that's not the case.
About acomplishments, I think the ones that really matter, r the ones u make for yourself.

I don't spend much time online now a days, hence the slow response.

StudioCash was sold, but the sale is up in the air. Regardless, keeping the company or having someone else run it is not an option for me, but I appreciate your interest.

MetaformX 08-05-2006 11:44 AM

Thank you to all who took the time and posted a comment, a few really touched me. I truly appreciate it.

Some of the comments from the old schoolers brought back some memories.

It's hard for many to understand where I am coming from right now.

I guess my decision came down to a realization; Many years from now when the inevitable comes and I am on my death bed, I want to look back on my life and truly say I had no regrets.

Chasing my dreams now is the only way I could achieve that. If I have to endure hardship to do it, so be it.

E$_manager 08-05-2006 12:38 PM

interesting story. If i will start telling you mine - it wouldn't be interesting at all.

blood_burn 08-05-2006 12:43 PM

You definitely took the phrase "Fake it 'til you make it" to a whole new level.

Good luck in future endeavors.
