Dell Inspiron 8200

I have a question about the Dell Inspiron 8200, hopefully someone here will have one to answer my question. On my current laptop, the internal fan is placed right next to the built-in microphone. Needless to say, whenever the fan starts up it interferes with the microphone and my computer use (I use voice activation software quite often).

So my question is, on the Dell Inspiron 8200 where is the internal fan in comparison with the microphone? TIA.

Dude, I'm gettin' a Dell!

Really? Damnit. My old Compaq was perfect, but this Gateway is a nightmare as far as noise interference goes. I almost always have a fan pointed at my computer to stop the internal fan from starting up.

Don't buy Dell they are as bad as all the other computer makers now. I used to be a big time fan of Dell but now they are doing 99% of everything in way so that if you don't buy your upgrades or new parts from them you will be screwed.

Example, try and replace the "standard" ATX power supply in your Dell and you will probably end up melting your motherboard.

Screw them they are as bad as Micro$not.

I've had the 8200 for 3 months now. It's rocking. No troubles as of yet and it's working 24/7 pretty much. I use it as my only computer.
