As I say you know nothing. Name a place "off the beaten track" you have been to. Vanuatu has only 200,000 people and I know 90% of them so I think I my opinion is far more qualified. |

They don't like tourists too much over there, but she lived there for a long time... her grandfather was taking care of her, he was in a gov program in canada to help out poorer countries. Basicly he was showing people how to translate laws etc etc. |

So ASSUMING you're a 40 year old idiot instead of a younger idiot.. and ASSUMING you REALLY DO know 180,000 residents of Vanuato so well, then you'll have met over 12 people a day, every day of your life, since birth, up to your 40th birthday to know 180,000 so well fucking idiot typical GFYer :321GFY :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |

Other one is... always noticed folks seem to be more attracted to Canadian and some Euro people more than others. This was clear as water (uncontaminated) in the Caribbean area where there was more Canadian influence than much else. (Got to know a good few interesting people from Canada while I was there). |

They are still getting over the French colonization they rebelled against after so many years of, what they felt was, servitude to the white Frenchman. |
Happy, happy, joy, joy. :D Man, is that for real? Did they take mosquitos into account?

name a place you have been to here. I just met 20,00 nivans today alone at the Kiwani races. I am also married to a local girl with a very large extended family and with 2 melanesian kids of my own who both had their birthday yesterday. Their party held at our place had over 200 kids, most ni_vans all accompanied by parents, brothers and sisters, house girls and other hangers on wanting to check out our mansion. The locals, dspite what you say all have great respect for France and celebrated wildly at every one of their world cup wins. Most people had French flags displayed proudly whether on the houses or buses or painted on their faces. Let me iterate, Vanuatu people are the happiest and friendliest people have met. And the girls all put out. And let me stress that their friendliest and happines is sincere. |

The difference between "civilization" and a friendly and laid back community is stuff nobody would have a clue about unless they lived it. |

Do they specialize in breeding shit there? :1orglaugh My.. why do you go to such extent that you have this need to keep coming back with more spewage and taking the bother to even search GFY to try and find "something" :1orglaugh Pigshit mouths that come onto reasonable threads and then tell people who actually live in countries, how their countries are shit - it's fair to assume they have a problem - just like you. That fact that you never had good experiences of Vanutu is no surprise - they prob told you to fuck off there are well. Have a nice day redneck :thumbsup PS.. Nice pics! Amazing you take the time to post shit. |

I've looked arround the real estate market there and it's incredibly expensive for a country with this kind of lifestyle.

The Caribbean is much the same (or hell, any "exotic locations" these days) - same as Latin America (least the better countries there) - both Panama and Costa Rica are shooting up in price. Last year alone we had a capital gain of around 50% on land values - and destined to be much the same this year. Generally, now is a time for buying in these places - tho chances are that should have been three/four years ago to get a decent price. Stuff we have, we are not marketing yet, simply because the price is going up 50% each year, but the demand is sure there and suspect it's almost the same the world over. A lot of folks want to "escape" :winkwink: |
isnt vanuatu an offshore tax haven? no wonder they are happy :)
|
Quote:
Tho that usually does not have much benefit for locals - it's more "foreign entities" who get the actual tax benefits. But.. it's a source of revenue for the govt in corp stamp duties etc. Vanutu was also a good termination point for audiotext (phonesex lines) and, again, the govt was earning good money from their telecoms stuff with the audiotext industry. |
Doctor Dre:
Just been real estate looking as well :winkwink: It's hard to say real prices from the net - they are usually a bit higher than the real local price. But, least from the stuff I've seen, Vanutu appears to be a fraction cheaper than Panama or Costa Rica and definately a lot cheaper than the Caribbean. |

As I said Fuckface, you know nothing about Vanuatu. You still haven't told me a place you have been to yet. Here's a read for you from the world health organisation highlighting the risk of the promiscuous lifestyle in Vanuatu and the south pacific in general. http://www.wpro.who.int/media_centre...r_14062006.htm The main maternity ward here is made up of 20% unmarried teenage girls and I haven't screwed one of these. Oh btw here is some pics of where I live. http://www.antor.org/house.htm |

They seldom use money in that place. I think that's the reason most of them are happy over there. That's a complete contrast of people living in the city.

The problems with that come from two ends of the candle. There are third world countries where is it very difficult to even create an reasonable living environment and no amount of money can do this - it's just the nature of the beast. On the flip side there are "civilised countries" where they have never heard of a "sustainable environment" (ie prefer to ignore it) and simply consume natural resources, contaminating and destroying any environment they once had. Accompanying that comes "sophistication" of many forms - eg credit cards, mortgages, fast food stores (food never was mean't to be "fast", just eaten at normal pace :winkwink:) The current tendency among orgs, since it is anticipated that people, - mainly from the "civilized countries" are going to want some of this "happy world" is to develop sustainable tourism options, particularly where tourism does not eat into the environment - ie if that goes, it no longer is "happy world". It's the same where "civilized world" may want to permanently have a home in "happy world" - it needs a lot of managing to ensure the environment remains intact and overall self-sustaining. (As a side plus - there are many benefits to "self-sustaining") The one thing ya don't do is construct six condo complexes with armed guards at the gates :) It's a long story maxjohan and been working on several such projects for a few years now with professional assistance from several international orgs as well as governments in other countries. Along the way, this has been a massive education excercise but also meeting up with some amazing and interesting people in the process. It would take too long to cover outline here, but, several "experts" have described our project locations to be the cream of what they have ever seen - and they are the people who would know - they have seen it all worldwide. Meanwhile, it's back to the grindstone :winkwink: |
