Mac VLC Users.....HELP!
how the hell do i watch a video clip with this program, i think ive been following inrtructions but i keep getting error message!

There are some clips you can't watch with VLC for Mac (or any other player for that matter).
There are some proprietary codecs which are only available for windows. You might want to try Microsoft's own Media Player for Mac. It sucks big time, but can play a few things other player can't.

if you have OSX you need this to play all WMV's, it single handily made my mac worth using for beta testing sites. (play all streaming and any other kind of WMV stuff)
