Free TGP Script - Testers Wanted

Today sometime, we'll be kicking out a free version of TGPDevil. This new, free version will be able to download galleries from a central database as well as accept submissions as a typical TGP would. This version is sure to have a few bugs in it, but has been tested quite a bit. This is a seriously scaled down version of the normal TGPDevil script. If you're interested, drop me a line support AT tgpdevil DOT com and I'll email you when you can download the script.

Before you jump on this free script, make sure you have your MySQL DB information. You'll need your MySQL DB name, DB username and DB password. You will not be able to install it without them!

It's bed time for me. When I wake up, I'll give things a quick run through again and if there are no problems, I'll release it.

for .. $main_html ? The full system path to the document that will become the main page of your TGP. Make sure to include the name of the document!

would i put /home/sites/www.yourdomain.com/web/tgp/index.shtml or tgp/index.shtml
?

I'm not an idiot, that obviously makes sense. I glazed over your initial post and all I got out of it was that you had new software that was in beta... when I went to your site I saw 1.1 and 2.0 and it didn't click that each was a seperate platform - that's why I was wondering why 1.1 was beta when there was a 2.0

Since you're having tech support here in this thread, here's my prob...

When I call setup.cgi, I get the following error.

'Software error:
Execution of setup.cgi aborted due to compilation errors.'

Is this a problem with the database variables I put in the config.pl?

Yep, more than likely. It's pretty common to delete a " someplace and not realize it.

I'd say sure, but it looks like you have a bunch of hosted galleries from Soulcash, etc there. If you have some that you host yourself (i.e. Aren't from your sponsor), feel free to list them daily.

Depending on when you downloaded the script, there may be an error in the setup script. Not sure when I made the change to the setup script that caused the error, but you could have been one of the lucky few that got the screwed up file. If your variables look cool, I would download the .zip again and replace the setup and submit scripts and you should be in business.

I got the script working - and it looks great!

A&H, you did a great job with this - It's easily configurable, has all kinds of cool features - and it's free.
