Adult design is way underpriced compared to mainstream. And not enough clientele for most to survive and make big money. That and most programs that would drop a lot on of $$$ design just hire their own designers. Even most of the big design companies outsource all their designers.

Programs hiring their own is true to some extent, but no one puts their eggs in one basket. There's always room to squeeze in if you got your shit together.

The problem I find with a lot of adult graphic designers is they create the same damn shit over and over. They utilize all the same concepts like a bunch of mindless clones. All the sites look the same to me these days.

thats very true. there's like over 100 bangus style site designs with the video clips and few pics on the main page for each model. the design maybe design but the style and layout has been done one two many times.

What would be interesting is a design company that GUARANTEED their design's conversions... I am not sure if that's possible though. Not with 1:1 traffic correlation at least (since any given program has tons of differing traffic sources). There's been some interesting attempts with A/B testing but those are mostly text driven tweaks and mostly mainstream.
