Minimum volume is $0 --but most processors charge you a minimum fee of approx. $50 per month.

Fees are $68/mo for me, but that includes some electronics and insruance etc. Volume required = $0

You may want to stay away from anyone that requires a Volume # Just pay the monthly.

This is a good question!

I guess there isn?t really ONE answer to this though. It depends on the provider of the merchant account; its policy on volume in turn might be based upon the requirements of the bank.

The best merchant account solution there is right is Netbilling (www.netbilling.com) in my opinion. For volumes of 75K+ per month, I can certainly also help directly.

strange they never mentioned a minimum for site membership sales when I asked about it, and I know they didn't have a minimum for tangible sales

This comment isn't in relation to Netbilling.

Companies need to protect themself. Whenever there is some sort of custom integration or manual work involved, the company needs to ensure it will be able to cover the cost. Sometimes it just isn't worth doing business with somebody.

Again, this is just my opinion... I don't mean to offend anybody.

It depends on what you want.. A first party merchant(what big affiliate programs use) would require at least 200k. What you are probably looking for is a 3rd party merchant, that's what I have. There's no minimum...

???
I had an online store setup for over a year with their processing that never did more than $5k per month and sometimes did under $1k, for tangible merchandise.

Perhaps they have changed their policies since I used them.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean... please explain.

I've consulted for a company that had the problem of taking any customer. They didn't screen out customers and got bogged down with customers that didn't make them money, just consumed resources. The "good" customers were left behind because there were not enough resources for them; they left and went to the competition. After the company put screening policies in place things changed...

what i mean is: i need the merchant account to grow - cause the current billing i use is not satisfying due to various reasons. when i'm considered "too small" to help me now - i will not be interested in their services even when I'm big enough. I will make my way, no matter how. but i carefully watch who helps me on that way.

if someone can't see that - his bad. But I built this business from zero in 2 years now and i don't intend to stop because of this

I see what you are saying and you are right. It isn?t easy to identify the hard works from those who just have an idea without plan. Banks for example do a very deep evaluations before they give business loans.

Did you try talking with Paycom? Paycom also has merchant account solutions.

Oh, I just know Rand over at Paycom. He is very much on the ball; not a sales guy but he is a great contact to start off. Hm, I think he is away right now though. ICQ me... 269208831
