Since US presidents are little more than ventriloquist dummies, it might make more sense to ask whether we like who they speak and act for.

It may be very difficult for mainstream Republicans to admit in public, but the neocons currently running the administration have very little in common with traditional Republican ideology. If they are allowed another 4 years in the White House, this country will move further away from the Republican ideal than it ever would with a Democrat at the helm.
