to answer some questions by icq:

    1) im not accepting monthly payments a few reasons:

    A) in the interest of protecting your privacy. the only reasonable way for me to enforce monthly payments is to have it connect back to my servers, and i absolutely despise products that do this - so, i wont sell one.

    B) it would be more work to build in expirations and such, and i'd have to charge more.. the general consensus was people would rather pay less, but have their money go towards the development of the product, not copy protection.

    --

    2) your product will not expire after one year, that is just the time i'm guaranteeing that i'll offer support+updates for. i may do it longer, but i guarantee that i'll offer one year's worth.

      3) if google by and large changes how they evaluate pages' quality score, i will morph this tool into something to optimize for that new process. updates are not just minor improvements, i will be providing a tool that enables you to deliver optimized pages for their current-at-the-time algorithms. i will continue to morph with this for at least one year (see question 2).

what's the purpose of cloaking a landing page here? Isn't it possible to deliver the same data to googlebot without having to alter the look of your initial page?

I've already got my bids pretty low, what could I use your cloaking for ?

google recently implemented some changes to the adwords program, which is their pay-per-click system (sorry, don't mean to act like you're ignorant.. i'll just explain this in lay terms so everyone can get it. don't want there to be any misunderstandings about what this does/doesn't do)

basically, when you make a new ad.. a landing page bot comes out and checks the "quality" of your landing page.

well, they evaluate it by the relevancy to your ad text, keywords, and regular SEO strengths.

which is very lame.. what if your landing page is just a big image splash? sucks for you, is basically google's response.

ofcourse it is, but you got all this clueless dudes that
got their min bids bumped to $10 a click because of shitty landing
pages and I guess they rather do some cloaking instead of fixing
                      their landing pages.

                          thanks studiocritic.

darksoul, got my point. In most cases it's better imho to play safe and just work on your initial landing page. I don't see why you won't achieve equally good results. We both know if google wants to see which advertisers cloak the landing pages they can do it within few minutes by adding an extra IP appearing as browser and compare results.

soul rebel.. i cant/wont get into the details of how i detect google's bots and their employees, but suffice to say its proprietary and i've built it off a few years of data gathering.

i addressed way above in the 1st page why it wouldnt be realistic for them to figure it out even if they knew you were using it.

basically, they have no way of knowing what googlebot saw.. noarchive prevents googlebot from storing it, and the landing page bot discards its results anyway, only storing aggregate scoring data. (got this info from adwords team)

some people have tweaked their landing pages for the highest conversions possible, and that doesnt match what google's landing page bot wants to see.

there are threads upon threads of this over at tabke's mainstream forum beginning with a W.

like i said before, what if your landing page is heavily reliant on images.. or its flash?
