Is GoToMyPC the best remote desktop solution?
I need to have access to five different desktops remotely, GoToMyPC is the first thing that comes to mind, but is it the best?

If you have XP Pro, then remote desktop does the job

Remote desktop as has been mentioned, or VNC. Checkout: http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/
Both better options than Gotomypc.
