royalties are not necessary on short run, for promotional use only. djs are the backbone of the record distribution business. its similar to programs giving webmasters content to promote the program. when djs play the artists music they are flattered and gain sales from it. i get tons of free records from my record pools each month. when i was a bigtime dj back in the day people would pay me to play their tracks on the radio. airplay = mindshare = money.

What a fantastic video of your grandfather enjoying your tunes, Halcyon! Looks like your family is blessed with a good nature, fantastic rhythm, and great longevity. The whole thing triggers my warm-and-fuzzy side!

Although I'm not going to be in Vegas, I'd love a copy of the cd should you have any extras. I'm still groovin' to the one from Phoenix and would love to bone-up my collection with more fresh new vibes!
