dude you stress entirely too much for your age. enjoy your young life while you can. no wonder you have ED problems sometimes. shit bro. go enjoy some of your money, bang a bunch of girls, party, live life, if you work half as much as you do now you'll still make more than 50% of gfy. everytime i read something you are either stressing or worrying about something. i don't like to see people so young so wrapped up already. if you dont stop stressing so much i'll outlive you yo. just my two cents, and i only say that because of all the stuff i see you write and stress i see you under.
have some fun without expecting it. i think you expect too much sometimes. just my opinion man and i want nothing but good things for ya. |
thats the problem with spamming software dude. once you pay them to write a spamming script using a new idea. they take it and use it for themself.... thats why you have to learn to code :)

Sorry man but let me say something... "A professional designer is someone who is busy and not immediately available" Absolute rubbish. A professional designer doesn't ALWAYS have work on. That's a ludicrous thing to say. "A professional designer is spoken highly of on the boards and has been -- FOR YEARS" Again, rubbish. The internet, and the 'boards' is FAR from being the only place that designers frequent, and clients talk about. For instance... I regard myself as a professional... I've been working professionally in art and design for 10 years now. Many of those years, I was working in videogames, where I worked on many high profile titles, such as SSX, FIFA, Madden, Need for Speed... Because I've not been around for more than a few months in the adult industry, on the forums, that suddently takes away my professionalism? Again... ludicrous. Some of your points are valid... but some make it sound like YOU yourself, aren't a professional. I'm not questioning that... just saying you should think about what you've said. Because the points above are entirely untrue. |
i fucked up because i was thinking of a shitty lost project where i got fucked by a designer and a coder, and it was actually outside of adult! but the one designer whos work is the best around and not only meets but BEATS his deadlines is http://www.twistedillustration.com/
if he ever fucks you over icq me personally and ill kick his ass for you! |

Dickmans Design - professional and met the deadlines. You pay for what you get, and overall they were very reasonabley priced.
I went through 12 designers in the last 6 months. Dickmans, Webinc and Tender are the only ones I'll use again. |
I guess it comes down to keeping a client informed. If you think you are going to be a couple of days late, at least let the client know so they are aware of it. What I hate is when somebody tells you when something is going to be done and the mysteriously disappear from the earth until you see them a week later and they show you some shitty, slapped-together project.
|
they say they'll get it done fast to get your business. they are afraid if they say a month instead of 2 weeks you'll say you need it done faster and are going to look elsewhere. at least i know some do this. im sure there are other factors for different people also.

It can be a 2 sided street.
Designers programmers may underquote, or for lack of better terms quote for a perfect scenario, and end up overshooting a deadline, just trying to book a client with all of the competition, especially overseas stuff. Also keep in mind, a lot of the times, people will add in last minute "really simple" changes to designs/coding, that cause the designer or programmer to have to redo or rethink certain sections. |
some programmers are bad, i got one that fucked me and pushed my project aside..
|
Pretty interesting...
There are some good points here and some that cracked me up.. Good shit!! |
you usually get what you pay for. :thumbsup

This is funny, someone on icq the other day asked me how long to take to do a script, i said about a week's work, they said no way they can get someone to do it in 1-2 days, I stopped all communication instantly, realized this is a peanut payer, who wants something for nothing, then I watch the forums to see project was flaked on... as they always are... fact is you hired a script kiddy, who after 4 hours of work went to sleep and can't get motiviated to get back on the project, problaby has half your cash and can careless...
Maybe it's your hiring skills that need work, maybe you think a project is simple but don't realize there's time to implement and test. all of which you are not paying the programmer for... Maybe you don't realize all the tedious bullshit that is needed for the simplest of scripts? For that you will get screwed... Fact is, the minute you say, "I can get someone to do this in x amount of time", the good programmer can give a shit less about you.... realizes you are in minor league ball park and moves on. |
