So what? 99 out of 100 in the rest of the world couldn't tell you when the Supercupbowl whatever is held or even name a team. This pointless dicking around proves nothing. We hear or see nothing of American sports and are content at this and Americans (I persume) are the same when it comes to sports the rest of the world plays.

Every 4 years the world holds a huge party and the USA is not invited although you will insist on sending someone (although why fuck knows) and you bitch at home about how rubbish it is and how yours is much better etc etc and I can understand why a bit because no one likes to be left out but at the end of the day we love the fact we can all join in a truely global sport and you lot no doubt are content with the weird offshoot you call 'football'

I wrote nothing about TV making those sports popular and I saw enough games at the local school when my kids were cheerleaders to understand the appeal of those sports. My point was that outside of the US sports have continued to be played as they were before TV came along and that is an excellent reason for sports fans in other countries to be grateful their sports are not popular here.
