My wife and I are doing Rosetta Stone language courses every Saturday night now, we are starting with French and working our way through all the languages

This shit rocks, it makes learning languages really easy

it has levels, the highest goes all the way up to completely fluent...I think each has basically 2 levels you can buy, basic stuff and fluency

we are just at the beginning of level 1 though, I will let you know

but they say it is one of the better language courses out there

i can't wait to tackle Italian after French

I bought the 1st level of Spanish a few months ago but haven't even opened the box yet. It looks like it's very easy to use but I just have to find time to dedicate to it.

it really is cool, it has a microphone thing where it says the phrase then you say it, and measures wavelengths to see if it was said correctly

I have the Russian course and while it's not bad it is so boring that I often can't finish a lesson because I start falling asleep.

only heard amazing reviews about it. and yes, gov't employees use it with great success. i'd love to take a year off and study a few languages. damn, always wanted to do that. thanks for reminding me to try Rosetta. someday...

Only took Latin & German back in HS.

we just made a goal with ourselves...after we learn each language, we are going to that country....we are doing french right now with the incentive of going to france when we are done
