Why won't my computer turn on? heeeelp!!

One of my PC's won't turn on for some reason. When I press the on button it turns on for literally a split second then goes dead. WTF could the problem be?

Try another power supply on it. I've had that problem twice before and it was the power supply.

I think he's talking about the internal power supply that you plug the cord into on the back of your computer. That's responsible for distrubting power to your motherboard, fans, and all your drives. I think it could be that or a messed up switch (the actual button you press on the computer to power it on).

No problem. When you buy one make sure you get 50 extra watts above 350 watts for every 2 harddrives/dvd rom drives you have.

So if you have 2 harddrives and 2 cd/dvd drives you'll need a 450 watt.

Why would a surge protector do that?
