Uh, they don't have to get these numbers from the census. They get them from thousands of different sources, most notably the sheer number of illegals that are 'caught and released', the huge number that are caught at the border and turned back into Mexico. The numbers are staggering really, at least seven million immigrants (and no, not all mexicans) are in the United States illegally, a number that many critics say is far to low of a number and gauge it more realistically to be twelve to twenty million illegals.

Also, the CNN article that this thread pointed to doesn't say anything about Europeans moving to America, just that the USA is gaining around 2.8 million people. It doesn't cite where said people are coming from. Sure some of them are logically moving to America, but that's not what the CNN article was about. It was mainly about how the industrialized nations of the world are going to be in a serious situation within the next fifty years if women don't start having more kids. Looks like we may have a use for mexican women after all

According to this BBC article the estimated immigration influx to European countries is about half a million per year. Im sure someone else can find similiar figures, the FACT REMAINS THAT USA IS GROWING and not only cause immigration.

the Dutch population is growing with like 500 people each year, that's because it's really hard for foreign people to go and move here (especially arabians) and because of our good health care etc people don't breed like crazy and stick with 1 or 2 kids. That's why our population doesn't grow dunno how it's like that in the other Euro countries but I assume it's pretty much the same in germany/france etc

If there is no immigration to USA, the population wouldnot increase as it is now or it might even decline. It happens to all industrial countries. People who have higher education, better standards and more money tend to live their life then having kids, it is that simple.
