Sounds like it's using exif data. See if there's an option to disable exif data usage in PS options.

i have also witnessed this before in photoshop... very fucking strange, never figured it out.

very simple actually . . its the camera. go to the camera that shot the images and shut 'auto rotate' off . . end of problem

Thanks, I had a feeling that it was. But this is purchased content that I am working with. So do you know of a way to stop it?

sure do . .. on the part of the batch that is doing the 're size' select % instead of 'pixels' . . mess around unitl you find the size you need

tell the shooters to shut that crap off

I know what you are saying with the resize, but that really does not stop it from flipping the image on it's side.

The thing is, in image viewer the image is fine. It when PS Opens it, that it rotates. the image displays FINE before PS.

That was not the answer. I have that changed. The thing is, that the photo im image ready or the image viewer show just fine. Its when I open them in PS that they turn.
