Legal question about text liability.
Am i liable if i posted detailed information about a certain activity and people get into some sort of legal problem because of it?
An example would be if i showed someone how to make beer, but it is illegal for them to make it in their city. And they get caught making beer. would i be liable for them because i showed them how to make beer? I was thinking of writing a pretty sound legal disclaimer, but i was wondering whether there can be any surefire way i can distance myself from potential lawsuits and charges.

There are bomb making manuals and all sorts of strang how-to sites with the, "For educational purposes only" disclaimers..
Probably no danger of legal liability.. Of course any such site could be faced with civil liabilities if someone found out you provided the information which aided in whatever they did... Anyone can sue for any reason in this country.. |

In general, you would have no liability. However, in the current climate, the 1st Amendment is void where considered offensive. This started with the Paladin Press Case.
There is some good reading here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categor...peech_case_law Go get the actual cases on Findlaw though, dont rely on the statements of the Wikipedians to be accurate to the letter, only just in general. |

thx alot
its for something i am writing, but the problem is that i want to sell this information as well.. so i fear that i might be in some legal hotwater if i sell some information that might lead them to do something "illegal"
