My thoughts on Ramos
For what its worth:
After following all the new information about Ramos I decided to look back at my dealings with him. I'm not a big dog account and I'm not on the inside with inside information, but I just had a feeling that my judgement might be a little harsh. I felt myself wanting to pile on, and I wasn't sure why. This had to be written. I looked at the ICQ history and found that he was a pretty good rep when I dealt with him at adult.com. He solved my problems, made me feel good when ratios were down, and made me feel great when ratios were up. He answered my stupid questions one after another. I believe he had adult.com's best interested at heart and probably conviced me to send more traffic. I stated in another thread that I was promoting playboycash and adult.com before he came aboard, but I considered him my rep because of all the help. If someone would have come to me last year and asked "can we change you over to make Ramos your rep?", I would have insisted. If this is an example of him changing over affiliates, I have no problem with it. I also asked him to sign me up for fleshlight. I asked him specifically for his refferal code. I attempted to use his refferal code from gfy to sign up. I told him I didn't know if I used the correct one. He checked and gave me my user and pass shortly after. I have the ICQ logs to back that up. If he had to change me over immediately after I signed up, I have no problem with that. I was wanting to promote it, but I wanted him to help me, which he offered before I lost interest. I have no information or reason to be involved with the fire and the donated money story, but I'll give my two cents from what I see on gfy and what was explained. The car was obvously destroyed in the fire from the pics. It is not reasonable to cary comprehensive insurance on an old car, only liability coverage. If people donated money and he bought a new car, that would be ok with me. I'm not convinced he got insurance money for the car. (I didn't donate money, but If I had, I would have no problem with that.) but, You cant escape the fact that alot of credible people are on board with the negative acqusations being made about him. I do not have the full information that some people probably have. It is pretty easy to believe the negative stuff. Especially when combined with the job hopping going on. I do remember having a bad taste in my mouth about seeing every other thread on gfy was ramos pushing fleshlights while he still worked for adult.com. After hearing all this negative stuff, my first thoughts were that if it is true, Ramos must have gone downhill from the time he helped me. I thought probably increased drug use was the cause of his problems. He worked for adult.com for a long time, he had to be doing something right for the time he was there. Also, lensman gave him a nice sendoff post. The thought occured that he might just be a victim of inexperience that caused him to screw some things up and do some things he shouldn't. If we penalize people for inexperience, I'm screwed. If all the negative stuff is true, hats off to jimthefiend for bringing it to light. If it is not, lets all be a little more sure next time before we pile on. (Myself included) I'm not involved or convinced either way, but I felt he helped me enough to earn a post from me stating the things he did right. I should also note that I havn't talked with ramos in a while, probably since he left adult.com. Bottom line: If no further information comes out, I probably wouldn't mind him being my rep. Having said that, I'm waiting to hear further information. Good luck either way Ramos. ![]() |

I'm not getting caught up in it because....
I didn't "donate" money to him He wasn't my rep at adult.com He wasn't my rep at FleshLight He isn't my rep at MayorsMoney It's not my life or business All I can say is that he did hit me up a few times trying to get me as an affliate for adult.com and every time I told him my rep is Loryn and don't ask again.

What causes you to believe they are "credible"? Do you personally know these "credible" people? I would appreciate answers to the questions, for my own future reference. Thank you in advance. |

Read the threads. I dont go by postcount, I go by experience and motive. I am judging that on people I've done business with and people who have fairly big businesses. Also, some of them have direct involvement in the deals in question. I'm the last person to "believe everythign you read," but as you can see from my words in this thread, they made the negative stuff easy to believe. I do however question myself for believeing it all, which I why I created this thread. The fact is that I trust some of the people making the negative comments, but I remembered that I also trusted Ramos before the negative comments. |

I am relatively new and I thought maybe that you knew the negative posters personally which may or may not provide you with cause to believe in their credibility. |

I see your point of view. I skip most of the drama threads on gfy because either I have no interest in the people or I have no reason to believe in the credibility or motive of the people in involved. I started following the Ramos thing and found what I think are some fairly credible people. Now, this is GFY, so credibility is relative. From the limited amount I know about all the people on GFY, I found some of them with negative comments that would have no motivation to make up the stuff. Some of them were directly involved, some have enough success elsewhere that I would think they normally wouldn't care about this. Again, its just my two cents, and right before I created this thread, I realized that I considered Ramos to be credible also. I"m not saying I believe Ramos is a lie and cheat, but I'm anticipating and reading his responses very carefully. It is clearly obvious that some people on GFY feel that he has screwed them over on purpose. It just adds to the confusion, but I felt like Ramos had helped me enough to deserve some facts from me. |

I consider Ramos a friend. I cannot comment on his job performance. He seems, however, to have been a very "creative marketer". 2hp
