I did my annual fireworks display at my friend's house tonight. Their neighbors love me.

Her camera had a "fireworks" setting, but I think a tripod would have helped. Got some interesting effects though.

Yeah, well We only had 2 to work with, plus by the time they went off they were a half mile away.

However, I do want to do the helium balloon trick with one of these.

I think the longer open shutter setting is responsible for a lot of that effect.
