    MySpace profiles redirecting to porn sites...

    Well I was on Myspace talking to some of my HS & college buddies when I notice 3 or 4 emails appearing in my inbox. So I check out the friend invite & go to the profile and see an absolute BS pic of a woman. (Looks like a pic taken right out of Playboy)

    So I know it's BS and all, but I go to her page anyway to see just how many people she has suckered into this. Low & behold when I arrive, I am redirected to a porn site. No warning of adult content, nothing.

    For all this webmaster knows, I could be 12 years old.

    In the last 10 minutes I've gotten 8-10 emails from some broke ass webmasters trying to spam me via MySpace.

    This certainly isn't good & its just a matter of time before someone brings this to the media's attention, bringing even more shame to an industry that is already under fire.

    If someone you know is doing this, please tell them to cut it out before they attract even more negative attention to the biz.

                          Batts: Yeah, I didn't start getting them until the last hour or so...and I've had a page for like 10 months now. This could be bad news for everyone.

Knowing that I only link up to friends within the industry etc. and I hardly suspect a 14 year old girl is going to do a search for a 45 year old man who is married in her area - and even if she does - I have the option to deny her access.

                                                                                                  so unless someone who is from a pornsite actually starts adding underage kids to their profile - or webmasters lie setting up fake profiles to solicit new members etc. - then they are as safe as when they surf through google.

                                                                                                  Also remember kids do have the ability to say no to click on shit too

                                                                                                                      To try to be a little more clear, it's as if you're on ICQ and you get a message from someone not on your list. You get to choose to accept or decline the message. Except in this case when you choose Accept, you're redirected to a porn site.
