quick photoshop question (easy)

its been so fuckin long since i tool'ed around with PS, and for some odd reason, im drawin a blank on this one:

i have 2 pictures, figure A and figure B.
(figure a= red star figure b= colored canvas)

i want Figure A to be dragged over to Figure B. but i just can't click & drag it. how do i transfer the image to the other??

select all, copy Figure A, Paste onto Figure B. It will create a new layer on Figure B of Figure A's image.

You should be able to just click and drag it. Make sure Fig A. and Fig. B are the same Color Profile (RGB, CMYK, Index, etc), ie. you can't drag a Gif to a JPEG until you change the GIF from index color to RGB.

Also make sure you see the black border around the image that you are dragging to before you let go of the mouse.

If you are still have trouble, grab the layer from the layers palette and drag that to the other image.

But i am guessing the problem is that your color profiles don't match up.

Image - Mode - make sure the prop. of both pics are the same.. as Aico said above : )

Doube click the picA layer, so it becomes a layer and not a background.

Then it would be easy to move it around. ;)
