My mate who is launching a gay solo site is keeping the guy in the dark and paying him per shoot. This works out fine as he is doing all the updates ect ect.. but if you're going to toss her in the spotlight give her a cut ... 10-20%? -
Paying per shoot is a lot safer as models flake out all the time. If you can't do that or if she wants a percentage, it really depends on her level of participation - how often will she shoot? Will she do camshows, answer emails, etc? I think in the end most girls will expect 50% no matter how little they do but that's just speculation.Comment

I have all types of deals ..some i pay just shoots ..some just % and some a small per shoot and small % ... to be honest I'm not sure why but explaining the benefit of shooting for a % to a model is like teaching a Dog to drive ... almost impossible (most) .. They just don't get the concept of long term money .. they think short money and sometimes you can't get past that .. when you find a model that understands long money keep her ....

here's something kinda funny .. I thought .. I'm making a deal with a girl right now .. of course she wants fast money (probably why I'll pass) she wants a day rate ... I'm fine with that ..but in the agreement I state that If I want her to come to a show and if she can make the dates I'll cover her Air Fair / Hotel / Food and pay for all her VIP partying with you fine folks ... she tells me that if she is going to have to go away she wants to be paid $500 a day .. So I should give her a 3-4 day all expense paid VIP vacation in Vegas or Miami ( at least $2-3K easy) plus $2k pay ....lol I told her she was fucking crazy and she can stay home ...
.... then try to explain that they are there to promote the site that pays them a % and watch their little head spin ... I say fuck the % .. just pay the day rate and shoot like a mother fucker ... then get some kid in your office to answer emails while wearing a dress

Unless the girl is really really smart and want to get involved in the project, I say pay her flat fee.Originally posted by rayadp05I rebooted, deleted temp files, history, cookies and everything...still cannot view the news clip. Per shoot only I say. Once they get a percentage they start asking questions and want to run the show. The less they know about how you make money off of them, the better.Traffic-Out

Lump sum. It makes the math a LOT easier. Also, that way you'veOriginally posted by spacekadetwhat % would you give the girl? or would you just keep her in the dark and pay per shoot.
bought the right to use the content for a month...year... 10 years without
needing to keep dealing with her if she moves on, flakes, etc.
Percentage is just asking for problems because, like has been said... they always want more than they are worth and will then want to start making business and financial decisions. I could see only doing percentage with someone you know well... or for someone who comes to you. But otherwise, for someone you hired off the street.... keep the math simple.
If you DO percentage.... make it of the net after all the other expenses like hosting, designers, billing companies, affiliate payouts...Comment
