How is it different? Portugal have done this all tournament: dive get opposition carded, sent off, etc and whinged to refs (very sportsmanlike especially to celebrate with a wink to the bench: well played Ronaldo).

The player is at fault if he deliberately dives, however the ref is in charge of controlling this, so he is also at fault if duped.
