Watching the World Cup and Tennis Live for free ONLINE
Ok, All UK people probably already know this.
BBC play all their World Cup matches and Tennis games that they show on their BBC channels, live online. They also do that for snooker and tons of others. To watch them just go to http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport/ and then whenever a title says LIVE: at the the start of it, then you can watch it live online. Just click on the title and then you will see a little yellow thing saying VIDEO, click that and watch it live on your computer Forexample, here's the England vs Portugal match http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...06/4991618.stm |

I am in US and can only get live radio
... WATCHING ON BROADBAND The answers to frequently asked questions are below. Q: Why is broadband viewing online restricted to UK residents? A: The main reason is because the sports bodies, who hold the rights to events such as Wimbledon, sell those rights on a country-by-country, or regional basis because that's the way they make the most money. Obviously the internet is a worldwide medium and we ensure that the bulk of our website is available to all, regardless of location. But as a public service organisation, which is funded by UK licence fee, BBC Sport's priority has to be the British domestic audience. Q: How do you do this in practice? A: We determine your location via the IP (Internet Protocol) address of your connection. From that, we can tell whether you are in the UK or not and whether you are entitled to see the content. |
