I actually saw a thing on the Discovery Channel a few weeks back about how Einstein first said that you can't travel faster than the speed of light, then later revoked that claim when he came up with a formula that proved traveling faster than the speed of light was possible. It then went on to say that you had to more or less move matter or reconstruct the fabric of space in order to do it. Then it talked about scientists who were working on it, and had actually developed a way to do it but said it was too risky to actually try, but said that a more advanced species with thousands of years technology on us would probably have mastered it by now. Sounds crazy, but I am just the middleman between the Discovery Channel and GFY for this particular topic. :)
