I recently finished up a 4 book series by VC Andrews and ordered another set from her. Her books are so twisted, I love it.
I was into those for a bit in my teens until I made the mistake of putting them on my Christmas wish list that I gave to my Grandma. She contacted my mom and told her I was reading smut.
I also read his last book A Million Little Pieces, which was amazing. There was a whole scandal that he tried to pass it off as total non-fiction, but honestly, give either of these books a read and you absolutely wont care what percentage is fact and what is fiction. He's such a good writer you wont be able to put em down.
Sweetwater Creek. It's one of those "easy, fun to read" books. Blink is next. Then I'll do a John Grisham for another "easy, fun to read" book, then another serious book, lather, rinse, repeat.
I just finished Ordinary Heroes by Scott Turow, The Two Minute Rule by Robert Crais, Immoral by Brian Freeman and Edge of Battle by Dale Brown (an extremely far-fetched novel exploiting the current high profile of the Mexican illegal immigrant situation).
None of them anything special, but all reasonable bedtime reading.
Great book compiling his personal correspondence with book editors, family and the hoarde of psychotics that were his inner circle. Simultaneously reading his first book of letter, "the proud highway". Also good but he had yet to perfect his rantings and verbal castrations to the level seen in "Fear and loathing in America".
For me, that depends on where I am. In the office bathroom, I have The Rise and Fall of Adolph Hitler in the master bathroom, I have the Broker, and in my truck I have the civil war book part 2. about 1k pages.
